rum sum sum is a family business founded in 2007 by Anne Gearon. Anne is an Australian mother of two young boys and a baby girl, now living in Chicago USA with her family.

The name rum sum sum is derived from a traditional nursery rhyme Anne has sung to her infant children to cheer them up. As an uplifting and distinct mood-changer, it was certain to bring a smile to their faces (or perhaps it was Anne's singing that made her children laugh!).

As a well-travelled and experienced Industrial Designer, Landscape Architect, Urban Designer and keen photographer, Anne now draws on her varied talents to design and produce a range of unique and custom word, name and letter art, for artworks, t-shirts and magnetic items.

Anne's ultimate aim is to design toys and products for children that she, herself would want to buy. Timeless, high-quality, contemporary and tasteful are all hallmarks of rum sum sum creations. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do making them!

about artworks

All artworks are original, assembled from photographs taken by Anne. A large number of images used in artworks have been shot in and around Chicago. All images are printed on archival quality Kodak professional Endura paper. Images on clothing are applied using heat transfers. Clothing items are 100% pure cotton.

Apart from letter and word art using 'saturated color', all photographs have had little to no retouching or enhancing.

If preferred, rum sum sum can arrange for artworks to be printed on gallery-wrapped canvas, mounted and framed behind glass or mounted on bamboo ply. Just ask!
